The mark of audio and video products manufactured and sold in china should comply with Product Marking Regulation. In addition, the products should also meet the requirements of GB 8898-2001, Audio, Video, and Similar Electronic Equipment—Safety Requirements.
According to Product Marking Regulation, product labeling should be marked on the product or the packaging of product. When the maximum area of product or packaging of product is less than 10 cm2, the manufacturers, importers or exporters could only mark the product name and manufacture name. The words on product labels should be standard Chinese with Chinese pinyin or foreign language, but the size of Chinese pinyin or foreign should be less than the corresponding Chinese. The font height of Chinese characters, numbers and letters on the product label should not be less than 1.8mm. Moreover, product labeling should be clear, solid, and easy to identify. The units of measurement used in the product labeling should be legal unit of measurement.
