Products imported to China should comply with the Provision on Product Labeling and Mark. In addition, household appliances should comply with GB 5296.2-1999 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 2: Household and similar electrical appliances”. For specific products, it should also comply with the labeling, mark, package and instruction requirements specified in particular safety standard in GB 4706 series standards.
Based on the Provision on Product Labeling and Mark, labeling and marks should be on the product or the package of the products. When the surface area of the product or package is less than 10 square cm, the name of the product and manufacturers should be put on the product and the package. Product labeling should be in standard Chinese, and the size of the characters in foreign languages should be less than those in Chinese. The height of the character and number is less than 1.8 mm. The labeling should be clear, easy to identify.
