1 An overview of the China Certification for Environmental Products
The predecessor of the China Certification for Environmental Products (CCEP) is the identification for environmental products implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China, began in 1996.
China began to implement environmental product quality certification from 1996, which has experienced 3 stages.Environmental product certification achieved completely change fromthe administrative confirmation to the third party resources , and original mandatory identification changed into Resource Certification,.At the same time, product authentication mode also gradually improve to the present 3 steps: environmental protection product form, factory inspection and supervision inspection of goods. The management of institutions has changedfrom the past t environmental protection department cognizance to the accreditation Regulatory Commission.

The company that obtains the CCEP's certificate can use the logo of CCEP on the certified product in the period of validity of certificate, the CCEP certification mark is shown in Figure 1. The main colors of the pattern are green and black, with a white background.Green and white shows a symbol of environmental protection and clean, and black highlights the solemn and authoritative. In the middle of the pattern, alphabet CEP is the abbreviation of the certification for environmental products, and the capital letter C that wrapped CEP represents CHINA.

2 The technical requirements of the China Certification for Environmental Products on the furniture
The China Certification for Environmental Products on the furniture is based on the standard HJ/T 303-2006 The Technical Requirement for Environmental Labeling Products - Furnitures, which putting into effect on Feb.1, 2007.
This requirement is formulated for the purpose of implementing Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Protection, mitigating the impacts of furniture on people's health and the environment during their production, use and disposal, reducing the use of substances that is bad for the environment, and improving the recycling of the furniture. This standard defines the basic requirements, technical contents, and testing methods for eco-labeled furniture. This standard shall apply to indoor furniture and fittings, including mobile, portable furniture and fittings or those fixed on walls, and to the products used for room decoration as well as doors for interior use.
