How to apply for NAL

The NAL license application procedure can generally be divided into a 6-step process:
 
1. Network access testing – testing of equipment by a competent Chinese laboratory;
2. Network access trial – trial testing of equipment in public networks;
3. Application – the required documentation is submitted to the competent authorities;
4. Evaluation – evaluation of submitted materials by expert working group;
5. Factory inspection – on-site inspection of manufacturing facility;
6. Final evaluation – decision is made if NAL is granted or not.
 
After the NAL license is granted, the equipment must be marked according to Chinese regulations. The manufacturer can purchase original NAL stickers provided by TENAA or can print the NAL mark directly on the equipment.
